First Nabrajah-5 test flows 5800 bopd

AFTER Nabrajah-5 successfully flowed at a stabilised 5800 barrels of oil per day (bopd) under pump from the Basement formation test, Oil Search and partners are now preparing to test the well’s Kholan Formation.

It said the Basement test flowed oil at a stabilised rate of 5,800 bopd under electrical submersible pump and at 2,800 bopd under natural flow conditions.

The Kholan program comprises two tests. The first, DST#2A, will test the lower section of the Kholan dolomite over the interval 2,619-2,636 metres.

The upper section of the Kholan dolomite will then be perforated and DST#2B will test both the lower and upper sections over the intervals 2,619-2,636 metres and 2,603-2,614 metres within the Kholan dolomite.

Nabrajah-5 is a deviated well with a top Qishn S2 target location approximately 1,100 metres south of Nabrajah-4.

participants in the Nabrajah-5 well are DNO ASA 56.67% (operator), Oil Search (Yemen) Limited 28.33%, The Yemen Company 15%.
