Located in PEL 90 Candra Block/PPL 194, 1.5 km west of Reg Sprigg-3, DST-4 ran over the interval 2281 to 2288 metres to retest the Wimma formation and recorded gas to surface after 16 minutes at 10 psi on a ½ inch choke decreasing to 1 psi by the end of the 3 hour flow period. The recovery was 18 barrels of 32.7 API oil and 41 barrels of formation water.
DST-3 had been less than conclusive for the joint venture partners, failing 10 minutes after opening the tool. Run over the interval 2279 to 2286.5 metres, the test recorded gas to surface after eight minutes at 40 psi on a ½ inch choke, recovering 7.4 barrels of mud-cut oil, 18.7 barrels of gas-cut mud and 1.3 barrels of water before failing.
However, Reg Sprigg-3 encountered fair to good oil shows over the interval 1940m to 1946m in the Basal Birkhead Formation and fair to good shows in the Tinchoo formation between 2220m and 2295m.
