“The Bonan fields have come on stream successfully, producing about 4,200 barrels of oil and 1.4 million cubic feet of gas from Bozhong 28-1 and Bozhong 26-2 [wells],” CNOOC said in a statement.

“Major production facilities [in the area] include a single point mooring system (SPM), a floating production, storage and offloading facility (FPSO), two wellhead platforms, an onshore terminal and subsea pipelines.”

The Huizhou 19-3/2/1 fields have produced first oil from well Huizhou 19-3-1, at 6,500 barrels of oil per day, according to CNOOC

“More wells will be brought on stream gradually [and] the development of the fields consists of two platforms, 14 wells and a subsea pipeline from platforms to the FPSO, Nanhai Faxian. The peak gross production capacity of the fields [are] designed at 45,000 barrels of oil per day,” CNOOC said.

CNOOC has a 100% stake in Bonan but blocks 16/08 and 16/19 are operated by the CACT Operators Group: CNOOC, Eni China BV, ChevronTexaco China Energy Company with CNOOC holding a 51% stake.
