Derrilyn-1 in PEL 113/PEL 114, 50km south of Moomba, had poor shows over the
Murta formation between 1208m and 1218m, while the McKinlay formation had poor to moderate oil shows over the interval 1250m to 1254m.
Both formations still remain to be evaluated by wireline logs and where necessary, DST.
Participants in the Derrilyn Block Joint Venture are Santos (Operator) 65% and Stuart Petroleum Limited 35%.
Meanwhile Reg Sprigg West-1 in PEL 90 Candra Block/PPL 194, 1.5 km west of Reg
Sprigg-3 had more success with fair to good oil shows over the Basal Birkhead formation between 1940m and 1946m, and the Tinchoo formation from 2220m to 2229.5m.
The Tinchoo formation also revealed a good gas show over the interval 2250m to 2263m while the Paning formation had a fair oil/gas show over the interval 2325m to 2328m.
All these intervals are also yet to be evaluated by wireline logs and where necessary, DSTs.
