It was a case of Turkish delight for Amity shareholders as the share price rose on back of good news from the company's Turkish operation.

Yesterday, Amity's share price rose 4.5% from 67c to 70c after the company announced increased production from its Gocerler Gas Field to 12.8 million cubic feet per day for the last 16 days of March.

The Perth-based company also announced the commencement of gas delivery to new industrial customers in the Velimese area. Connections to the remaining 14 new customers are on schedule to be completed over the next five weeks.

Amity indicated drilling of the Cayirdere-1 wildcat well should begin on or about the 20 April. Meanwhile, access road and site work is expected to completed for the within a few days for the Adatepe-1 exploration well with the spud date, ironically, scheduled for Anzac Day.

The Thrace Joint Venture, including the Gocerler Gasfield, is operated by Amity Oil and owned jointly by Amity and Turkiye Petrolleri AO (TPAO)
