Amity puts Adatepe into early production

Initial production rates, after a brief test phase, are expected to be in the order of five to eight million standard cubic feet per day until the Adatepe plant is fully operational, and additional wells have been tied in.

Peak field production is expected to be around 20 million standard cubic feet per day which should be reached during or before June 2004. The two Amity operated development wells (Adatepe-2 and Adatepe-3) will be tied in shortly and the TPAO operated D. Adatepe-1 will be connected as soon as the pipeline to the plant is complete.

An additional 8 inch pipeline to the Cerkezkoy Industrial Park is currently being completed where additional sales are anticipated in the near future.

The discovery well, Adatepe-1, was spudded on 9 May 2003 with the discovery being confirmed by the end of May 2003. Three additional development wells have completed the initial field development.

The most recent well in the field D.Adatepe-1, also proved to be commercial in January with gas sand present from 1203.5m to 1223m, and will now be cased and readied for connection to the Adatepe gas plant.

Log results interpreted gas pays which correspond to the main gas sand interval present in all other Adatepe wells. At least 8m of pay exists in the main interval with the possibility of 2m of additional pay immediately beneath the main zone.

The Adatepe-1 well is located in Area "A" of the Thrace Joint Venture, which is owned 50% and operated by Amity and 50% by TPAO.
