First production offshore Sarawak

The company said that daily production will peak at 250 mmcfd for gas and 10,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) for condensate and that "the gas and condensate produced from the Helang Gas Field will be transported through the sub-sea pipeline to Bintulu to be separated and liquefied at the MLNG Tiga plant owned by Malaysia LNG Tiga Sdn Bhd."

According to Nippon Corp, the mined LNG will be for the Japanese utility companies market. The condensate, on the other hand, will be sold at the wellhead to Malaysia's state-owned Petronas.

Block SK-10 is a joint venture between Noma and Petronas with the Japanese company as operator with a holding majority stake of 75%. Noma itself is a joint venture between Nippon Oil Exploration (40.15%), Teikoku Oil Co Ltd (15%), Mitsubishi Corp (6.27%) and Japan National Oil Corp (38.58%).
