The Don's warning which Santos ignored

DON Voelte, the former chief executive of Woodside Petroleum, has been around long enough to know that it's never wise to say "I told you so"– so, Slugcatcher will do it for him in this note for David Knox, the departing chief executive of Santos: "He told you so!"

He certainly did, and in very blunt terms that ring as true today as they did five years ago when Voelte first famously asked whether companies developing CSG- based LNG projects had considered the question...
