Origin said today that flow tests on the Kupe South-6 well were completed by 3pm Monday and that a 92m-deep interval, between 3014-3106m measured depth below rotary table (MDRT), was tested through a 56/64-inch choke, with surface flowing pressure relative to atmospheric pressure of 3030psig.
Sustained flow rates achieved were 41 million cubic feet per day of gas and 6000 barrels per day of condensate, Origin said.
The first well to be tested, Kupe South-8, flowed 33MMcf/d of gas and 3840bpd of condensate over the weekend, through a one-inch choke, with surface flowing pressure relative to atmospheric pressure of 2100psig.
Origin said testing of the last well, the Kupe South-7 sidetrack, had started at 7am yesterday over the interval 3188-3280m MDRT.
The Kupe partners are operator Origin Energy (50%), Genesis Energy (31%), New Zealand Oil & Gas (15%), and Mitsui E&P NZ (4%).
