Last weekend, the Western Force were the only Australian team to win a game, edging out the Chiefs 22-21 in a thriller. The Queensland Reds were beaten by the Auckland Blues, while both the NSW Waratahs and the ACT Brumbies lost to South African teams in the first leg of a three-match road trip.
The Stomers beat the Brumbies 20-10 in Cape Town, effectively ending the Canberra team's finals hopes, while the Bulls defeated the Tahs 16-13 in Pretoria. NSW is still second on the table, but with no home games left, it will struggle to hold that position and secure a home semi-final.
Next weekend, the only Super 14 match being played in Australia is in Brisbane where the Reds take on the Crusaders next Saturday.
