Last weekend saw Australia's leading team, the Western Force, have a bye.
Of the other Australian teams had mixed, the NSW Waratahs went down to the Blues in Auckland and the Queensland Reds were defeated by the Waikato Chiefs in Brisbane, but the ACT Brumbies won on the road in Durban, South Africa, beating the Sharks, the team that had until then been leading the competition Sharks.
This weekend the Force will host the Sharks, the team currently leading the competition, at Subiaco Oval in Perth, while the NSW Waratahs will host the most successful team in the history of Super Rugby, New Zealand's Canterbury Crusaders.
The Brumbies will continue their South African tour, playing the Lions in Johannesburg, and the Reds will have a much-needed rest, taking the bye.
