Department of Industry and Resources Petroleum Open Day

The event will serve to highlight what is new in the state’s petroleum administration and will include keynote speakers who will make presentations on the Transcontinental Pipeline and Project Development, and Local Content. It is also expected to be the venue for the announcement of the release of areas for exploration in the Canning Basin and Perth Basin.

Other topics to be presented include aquifer depletion, CO2 sequestration, giant field analogues of the Canning Basin, transcontinental gas pipeline, WA Petroleum Information Data Centre, Special Prospecting Authority policy guidelines, NOPSA transition, project development and local content, and amendments to petroleum legislation.
