In a statement, CB&I stated, “CB&I’s work scope for the project encompasses the engineering, procurement and construction of LNG tankage with a total capacity of 272,000 cubic meters, including civil and foundation work, tank insulation, in-tank pumps and piping to grade.”
“CB&I']’s scope also includes the design and construction of nine smaller tanks for miscellaneous storage,” added the firm.
Once completed, Marathon intends to use the facility to store the LNG produced by it and GEPetrol, the state-owned oil company of Equatorial Guinea, from a soon-to-be constructed 3.4 million metric tons per annum LNG plant.
