Indian CBM blocks allocated

ONGC won the majority of the blocks, obtaining five, whilst Reliance were able to acquire three.

Asia Pulse reported the government had received 14 bids for eight out of the nine blocks on offer for exploration and production. The Godavari block GV(North)-CBM-2003/11 did not receive any bids.

Reliance bought two Rajasthan blocks and outbid ONGC on the Chattisgarh block. ONGC was the lone bidder on two blocks, but contested strongly on three highly fought for blocks, out bidding Reliance and Coal India.
