Beach reserves to surge on Kenmore field

The top Hutton was intersected 8m higher than the nearest well, Kenmore-28, which is located 350m to the northeast, in Queenslands Eromanga Basin.

As a result, Kenmore-30, which is the southernmost well drilled to date in the Kenmore Field, is one of the highest wells on the structure. The well will be completed and flow tested and is expected to commence production next week.

At the company's annual general meeting managing director, Reg Nelson announced that the acquisition two years ago of the Bodalla/Kenmore blocks in southwest Queensland were now being realised, with total group reserves growing 18% from 3.6 million boe to 4.5 million boe by 30 June this year, before the recent development successes in the Kenmore field.

The Kenmore field has the combined potential to increase proved and probable reserves (2P) by more than 1 million barrels of oil.

Beach Petroleum owns 100% of the Kenmore Field.
