The partners in the Montgomery well in the Carnarvon Basin have started redrilling after being forced to evacuate the area by Tropical Cyclone Inigo.

The strength of Inigo has weakened and operator Apache Energy kicked off yesterday from the 800 metre mark from where it had been forced to evacuate.

The well has a mid case size of 30 million barrels (mmbo) with an upside of 70 mmbo. It is planned to teach a total depth of 3700 metres.

Partners are Apache Energy (48.815%), Tap Oil (22.474%), Santos (18.711%) and Pan Pacific Petroleum (10%).
