Called Sysdrill, Paradigm's drilling software is designed to enhance well planning accuracy and reduce drilling risk and uncertainty.
Its deployment on the AWS cloud will help Sysdrill users to benefit from rapid provisioning, simplified management and lower costs.
With AWS, users can reduce overall IT costs, stay focused on applications for particular projects and meet demands for scalability.
Paradigm will provide multiple levels of support for Sysdrill on the AWS cloud, letting customers select their required level of management control.
Sysdrill has been fully tested and validated for use on AWS.
Paradigm is providing reference architectures and sizing guidelines to ensure customers can deploy Sysdrill within their own AWS environments.
For customers with outsourced or managed IT, Paradigm provides the deployed instance option, where it installs and configures Sysdrill for immediate use.
"The rise of cloud computing is one of the most important macro-trends in IT infrastructure," Paradigm president and CEO Arshad Martin said.
"However, exploration and production software vendors have yet to make its well-recognised benefits available to their customers.
"Simply put, customers should be able to focus more on the application than on the infrastructure."
