VicPet drilling Tigercat-1 probe

VICTORIA Petroleum and its partners have spudded the Tigercat-1 exploration well in the Cooper Basin, South Australia, targeting potential recoverable reserves of 1 million barrels of oil.

The well in PEL 104, targets the same Birkhead sandstone reservoir that produces oil in the Growler oil field, located 8km to the west. Secondary targets are the Namur, Hutton and Poolawanna formations....
