Drilling begins in California: Solimar

TRIO Petroleum has started drilling the Aliso Canyon prospect in the Ventura Basin, California, with the spudding of the Sesnon Fee-7 redrill 1 well yesterday, according to partner Solimar Energy.

Solimar said the Kenai Rig 44 re-entered the well bore and is preparing to kick off and directionally drill from about 7532 feet. The rig will drill a new 2400ft directional section to about 9901ft...
