The gas show will be evaluated on wireline logs and, if warranted, by drillstem test (DST) after the well reaches total depth of approximately 750m.

Lynwood-1 well is to target conventional as reservoirs in the Digby Formation "Quartz Sandstone", the Porcupine Formation and the Maules Creek Formation. Secondary objectives include the Black Jack Formation and the Watermark Formation.

At Coonarah, the independently accredited 2P reserves of 11.3 petajoules are being produced to fuel the company's 12MW Wilga Park Power Station. Lynwood is only the fifth wildcat well targeting conventional sandstone reservoirs to be drilled in the 9,100sq.km PEL 238 with the benefit of modern seismic data.

Eastern Star Gas has 100% interest in the conventional gas rights in PEL238.
