Eastern Star after Coonarah replacements

Lynwood-1 is located approximately seven kilometres south west of the producing Coonarah Gas Field, and is targeting gas in conventional sandstone reservoirs on a mapped anticlinal closure of similar size to Coonarah.

At Coonarah, the independently accredited 2P reserves of 11.3 petajoules are being produced to fuel the company’s 12MW Wilga Park Power Station. Lynwood is only the fifth wildcat well targeting conventional sandstone reservoirs to be drilled in the 9,100sq.km PEL 238 with the benefit of modern seismic data.

Although under-explored with modern exploration techniques, Eastern Star Gas said PEL 238 is an emerging petroleum province with multiple sandstone targets on well developed anticlinal structures at relatively shallow depth (<800 metres).

Eastern Star Gas has a 100% interest in the conventional gas rights in PEL 238.
