AWE saves money on Gungurru-1

It appears that Australian Worldwide Exploration (AWE) made the right decision by electing to not...

Despite holding a 10% interest in the WA-202-P permit, AWE decided not to participate in the well, although it did retain the right to buy back in if there was a commercial discovery.

Gungurru-1 follows last year's dry Cerberus-1 well in the same permit which evaluated two historically producing zones in the North Rankin Formation and the Legendre Formation reservoir units within a fault bounded closure.

Participants in the permit are AWE Petroleum 10%, Apache Northwest (operator) 50% and Wandoo Petroleum 40%.
