DRILLING

Solid Texas production test for Amadeus

Amadeus Energy has completed the first phase testing of the Trio Scheinemann South-1 well, reveal...

Trio Scheinemann South-1 displayed extremely high flowing pressures indicative of excellent reservoir rock characteristics. Whilst some water was produced during the test, the company said this is not considered to be a negative to the potential of the well, in this depletion drive reservoir.

Associated water production declined during the course of the testing and Amadeus now believes a long-term production rate in the range of 1.5-2.0 million cubic feet of gas per day and 35-50 barrels of oil per day is possible, with ultimate reserves from this zone being dependent upon future water production trends.

The results of the testing have already justified the drilling of multiple additional wells in the area over the next 12-18 months.

Amadeus owns a 22.5% working interest in the Scheinemann South well and 25% in the Trio Gerdes well.
