DRILLING

Play resumes at Overston-2 after rain delay

Clearing of the Overston-2 well site is now progressing rapidly since the ground dried out enough for partners Samson International and Sunshine Gas (SHG) to commence site preparations.

Should no further delays occur, the rig move will be able to commence next week with spudding of Overston-2 on approximately the 23rd of February.

The location of Overston-2 has been selected approximately one kilometre to the south of Overston-1 using the recently acquired 3D seismic data.

Overston-2 will appraise two principal zones of interest. These comprise the Showgrounds Sandstone and the Tinowon Sandstone both of which were gas charged in Overston-1. The Tinowon is proposed to be drilled with air/nitrogen.

After drilling Overston-1, SHG commissioned an Independent Expert Report on the potential of the Overston feature. This report calculated a mean gas in- place of 137 billion cubic feet.

Participants in the well are SHG (working interest 50%) and Samson 50% (operator).
