The well is located approximately three kilometres east of the Beharra Springs gas processing plant and will be drilled vertically to test a downthrown structural closure similar to the adjacent Beharra Springs Gas Field.

Target estimates are around 30bcf which would roughly translate into a $20 million well on a net present value basis, according to independent analyst, Peter Strachan.

The primary objective is the Wagina Formation, which is the gas reservoir at the nearby Beharra Springs and Beharra Springs North fields, and has a planned total depth of 3,810 metres.

Participants in L11 and Redback-1 are Origin Energy Developments 67% and ARC Energy 33%.
