Harriet has another success at North Pedirka-1

The Harriet Joint Venture is on a roll after another discovery at the North Pedirka-1 well locate...

The discovery is the third success out of four wells drilled in the program with Gipsy-3 and Ginger -1 also with oil and gas shows. Felicia-1 has been the only well in the program to be plugged and abandoned.

The well was drilled to a total depth of 2,927m and intersected the top of the Flag reservoir at 2,856.4m. The well encountered a 7.4m gross (6m net) hydrocarbon column.

The partners are now acquiring reservoir pressures and fluid samples to confirm the nature of the hydrocarbons discovered.

The North Pedirka-1 well is being batch drilled together with the Hoover-2 development appraisal well. On completion of wireline operations the Ensco-56 rig will continue drilling Hoover-2.

If it is confirmed that the hydrocarbons discovered at North Pedirka-1 are oil then it is planned to tie it in for immediate production via the existing Victoria Platform.

Harriet Joint Venture participants include Tap Oil 12.2229%, Apache Energy (operator) 68.5% and Kufpec Australia 19.2771%.
