Planet Gas completes fourth Skull Creek CBM well

ON reaching total depth at the fourth of up to seven stratigraphic coal-bed methane wells in its Skull Creek Project, Planet Gas reports preliminary evaluation of the electric logs and gas detection run is "very encouraging".

Planet Gas completes fourth Skull Creek CBM well

Skull Creek is located in the Cherokee Basin, Kansas USA. The stratigraphic drilling program is designed to confirm previous total coal thickness mapping and assess the in-situ gas of each coal horizon.

Development drilling will follow a successful stratigraphic drilling program, Planet Gas said.

The Ferguson Ranch 5-15 has been drilled to a depth of 884 metres. Preliminary evaluation of electric logs and gas detection run indicates about 5.1 metres of gassy coal and carbonaceous shale intersections within the Cherokee Formation, which is the primary coal-bed methane target horizon as expected.
