McNally’s CDO position has been newly created to develop new project areas, explore acquisitions, alliances and joint ventures while pursuing finance and investment options.
Both men are qualified mechanical engineers with over 20 years of international experience in the oil and gas industry with McNally filling a range of management roles at BP, Pennzoil and Devon Energy while Purcell gained his grounding with the UK National Coal Board before traveling to South Africa.
“Sydney Gas’ development has now reached an exciting stage as we move into new project areas. The board is delighted that Sydney Gas is able to make these appointments ahead of that originally planned as they reflect the company’s growing maturity as an emerging energy company in New South Wales,” said Sydney Gas CEO Dr Bruce Butcher.
