Clough lends Apache a hand on Varanus Island

Clough said a project team that had been working on a compression upgrade project on the island will form the core of the repair team assisting Apache personnel.

The company will undertake a survey/laser scan and help develop the scope of repair work.

Engineering and procurement will be provided from the company's Perth office.

"Having a skilled project team already established and familiar with the plant enables us to provide strong and rapid support to Apache in its efforts to get the plant operational as quickly as possible," Clough chief executive John Smith said.

Partial gas sales from the island are expected to resume in about two months, according to Apache.
