Presentations at the conference should relate to finance, taxation, legal, commercial or accounting issues directly affecting companies operating in Australia’s oil and gas industry, according to APPEA.
The organisation said the following types of subjects would be of particular interest to delegates:
• corporate taxation;
• tax administration and compliance issues;
• technical and policy issues associated with the petroleum resource rent tax;
• IFRS matters;
• project financing and market development related activities;
• legal developments impacting on the commercial framework;
• financial considerations arising from possible greenhouse responses;
• IPO and merger/acquisition trends; and
• corporate governance and commercial regulation.
The deadline for expressions of interest is February 23.
The event will be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor located right on the waterfront in central Hobart opposite Constitution Dock. The hotel has views over the Derwent River, Mt Wellington and the city.
