Green Rock feels the heat

GEOTHERMAL explorer Green Rock Energy has received a speeding ticket from the Australian Securities Exchange about a twofold increase in the value of its share price.

In its response to the query, the junior company said it had not kept any information from the market that would have accounted for its stock to rise from 5c less than a week ago to a high of 11c yesterday.

Instead, Green Rock indicated the movement could be due to “positive press reports” about the geothermal energy sector in general.

Also, the company pointed to last week’s appointment of international geothermal expert, Dr Jörg Baumgärtner, to its board of directors.
