Molopo lights fires beneath Canadian play

MOLOPO Energy has boosted net production at its Spearfish project in Canada ninefold to 522 barrels of oil per day, breaking past its original target of 400bpd by the end of 2010.

The increase is due to an intensive drilling program started earlier this year. Of the seven horizontal wells drilled to date, five have been completed and put on the pump at rates ranging from 70 to 200bpd....
