"This flow rate is consistent with the stabilised flow rate seen in other gas wells in the Taylor field," managing director Lan Nguyen said.
Taylor-18, which has been completed for production, will be connected to the Silver Springs gathering system by the end of June.
Mosaic has a 100% interest in PL-49.
Meanwhile, preparation for drilling the Waggamba-5H well in PL 202 is complete.
The Century Rig 7 will be moved to the Waggamba-5H site once it is released from the company's nearby Armstrong-1 well, which is running wireline logging operations.
Partner CS Energy has paid $3.5 million to fund well drilling, completion and tie-in costs, entitling it to 50% of gas production and 35% of free oil and condensate production from the well.
