The Brisbane-based company said these initial wells were currently producing between 800 and 1000 barrels of water per day.
It has also installed down-hole sensors at Lacerta-6, 7 and 8, which are subsequently being brought back online.
“Gas flow rates are now starting to increase as these wells continue to be steadily pumped off,” managing director Tony Gilby said.
“Lacerta-5 will have the down-hole sensor installed by close of business today and should be back online Thursday.”
The rig has now drilled the next well, Lacerta-28, to a total depth of 473m and as of this morning was under-reaming the intersected coal sequences.
The purpose of the $5.37 million, 26-well work program is to move the Lacerta project towards proved and probable (2P) reserves to support commercial gas supply contracts.
