The test, which was run at a depth of 299m, yielded this gas rate through a 32/64-inch choke and 185psi flow pressure.
Sunshine managing director Tony Gilbert said wireline logs have been acquired from the well, which was drilled to a total depth of 428m.
“To date, the pilot drilling program has provided excellent results in confirming the potential of the Juandah and Taroom Coal Seam play in this region,” he said.
“Sunshine is looking forward to commencing its own core-hole program to demonstrate the continuation of this exciting CSM play in the adjacent ATP 795P block.”
Coxon Creek-4, designed to assess the Juandah and Taroom Seam CSM production potential, is located in an area that the Rowallon-14 corehole and the subsequent Coxon Creek pilot wells last year confirmed as potentially gas productive.
Participants in ATP 336P and Coxon Creek-4 are operator Santos, which holds an 85% stake and Interstate Pipelines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sunshine Gas, which owns the remaining stake.
