Linda-3 to lift production for Harriet partners

The Harriet Joint Venture has spudded its latest production well, Linda-3 in TL/1, 17 kilometres northeast of Varanus Island. The well is expected to produce at an average rate of around 90 TJ/d and 40bbls of condensate.

Linda-3 is being drilled as a deviated well through the subsea jacket of the recently installed Linda Platform. The well will be completed within the Biggada Sandstone reservoir at a subsurface location approximately 1.5 km northwest of the platform.

Further operations following the completion of Linda-3 include pipeline installation and tie-in to Varanus Island before first gas and condensate production anticipated in mid April 2004.

The Linda platform has six well slots and has been located to access gas and condensate from the Linda, Rose and Lee fields. Initial production will be from the one well, Linda-3.

Following the completion of Linda-3 it is expected that the rig will be mobilised to drill the Taunton-4 and Blackthorne-1 step out wells in TP/7.

Harriet Joint Venture participants are Tap Oil 12.2229%, Apache Energy (operator) 68.5% and Kufpec Australia 19.2771%.
