Paul Whiteman has retired from the position of executive director - development at Energy Developments following a management restructure. Whiteman will remain as a non executive director of the company.

Sinclair Knight Merz has appointed former Engineer of the year, David Howarth as its new chairman. Howarth has 40 years experience undertaking engineering projects around the world and replaces John Winton who has retired after 12 years in the position.

Julian Briede has recently left subsea pipeline business Ocean Engineering Systems after many years as manager.
