Reports have emerged of India's plans to establish a strategic oil reserve for the country, given the jittery state of affairs in the region.
Indian Oil Minister, Ram Naik, is reported to have said India may seek US help in establishing the oil reserve which is planned to sustain the country for 45 days in the event of war.
It is said to cost around A$1.4 billion to fund the reserve. India is Asia's third largest energy consumer.
