Kalrez starts weekly oil reporting

After recent board ructions, Kalrez Energy has started weekly oil production reports from its Oseil oilfield in an attempt to rebuild market confidence. The field is being produced through temporary facilities while the main plant is being constructed.

Kalrez said in the period 5th -12th January, 54,167 barrels of oil were produced from the Oseil oilfield with average daily production for the period at 7,738 barrels. Kalrez said the temporary process facility will be used until permanent facilities, currently under construction, are completed by April.

Kalrez said following stabilisation of production rates at 12,000 bopd, the company intends to revert to monthly reporting on Oseil. Kalrez is a 2.5% shareholder in the Seram Joint Venture that operates the Oseil oilfield. Kufpec (Indonesia), major shareholder and operator, has a 97.5% stake in the JV.
