Origin starts Jingemia production test

Production rates will fluctuate throughout the test period although flow rates of around 2,000 barrels of oil per day will be targeted during the test period. Flow rates of up to 2050 bopd were recorded last December during an initial production test that produced 18,500 bopd over 10 days.

The well encountered a 29 metre oil column in October 2002 and the partners plan to bring the field into full-scale production by early 2004.

Oil produced will be trucked to and sold at the BP oil refinery at Kwinana, south of Perth.

Participants in EP 413 and Jingemia-1 as reported by Voyager are: Origin Energy (49.189%), Hardman Oil and Gas (22.376%), AWE (15.245%), Victoria Petroleum (5.7685%), Voyager Energy (6.0015%), Pancontinental Oil and Gas (1.278%), John Kelvin Geary (0.142%).
