Clough said that together with Nippon Corporation of Japan, it received a letter of Intent from Premier Oil Natuna Sea BV for the $125 million Gajah Baru Gas Export Project.
"The Gajah Baru project is another landmark contract for the Clough Group and for Indonesia," said managing director of Clough, Dr Brian Hewitt.
The scope of the contract includes the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of an offshore production and compression platform as well as approximately 3km of 200 millimetre subsea pipeline inclusive of tie-ins.
Clough said work on the project has already started with a 10-week re-engineering phase and once this has been completed, work will start for the detailed design, procurement, installation and commissioning with first production expected in two years.
"Oil and gas opportunities in Asia and in particular Indonesia are very promising and we look forward to further continued success in the region," said Dr Hewitt.
As well as the Gajah Baru project, the Clough Group has also recently won oil and gas contracts in Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Pakistan and the Bass Strait.
