Amity Oil said the Gocerler-5 well flowed at a stabilised rate of 10.4 million cubic feet per day through a half inch surface choke at a surface flowing pressure 1640 psi.

"This is a very pleasing result and proves continuity of reservoir and reservoir quality in the northeastern sector of the field," said Amity's chairman Tony Barton.

The Gocerler Gasfield is operated by Amity and owned by Turkiye Petrolleri AO (50%) and Perth-based Amity (50%).

In other Amity news, Barton said the Thrace Joint Venture will begin drilling the nearby Adatepe Prospect toward the end of March.
