Mahil is quoted to have said that the company's Bombay High offshore fields have produced 306,603 barrels so far. The fields' average daily output of 340,000 barrels per day.
The industrial action was initiated last week after 25 employees were killed when a helicopter carrying them to Mumbai from an offshore oil rig crashed into the sea. ONGC produces almost 80 per cent of India's average crude output of 660,000 barrels per day - almost two-thirds of it at Mumbai.
