Operator ADMA-OPCO said it awarded Worley the FEED (Front End Engineering Design) stage of the Umm Shaif Gas Compression Facilities project which will inject 600MMSCFD of gas into the existing reservoir.
Worley's brief includes designing facilities which include a new compression platform, collection and separation platform, accommodation platform and riser platform. All of the facilities will be bridged linked. The scope also includes intrafield pipelines to the existing production facilities.
The work will be engineered out of Perth where Worley have over 1500 dedicated oil and gas personnel - a number of which have recently completed the FEED, preliminary and detailed design of Phillips' Bayu Undan project.
Andrew Wood, Worley's International Executive Director stated "ADMA-OPCO's decision is exciting for Worley. We have a strong working relationship with a number of the major clients in the region and while we execute most of the work from our four Middle East offices we believe on this occasion a Perth execution strategy will deliver the optimal outcome for ADMA. "
Mr Wood said Perth had proven itself over the past decade to be a world class technical resource base capable of executing large complex projects. He said the lifestyle in Perth is seen to be very attractive to oil and gas professionals.
