Bibby expands

The Bibby Offshore subsidiary will obtain a newly built MT6021 IRM vessel from Olympic for a three-year period, with the option to extend to five years.

"The business is now in control of a fleet of nine vessels and 15 ROVs," Bibby Offshore chief operating officer Mike Arnold said.

"These new additions demonstrate our ongoing commitment to develop our current capabilities and expand our offering of flexible services to clients on a worldwide basis, and this is a reflection of our significant growth over the past 10 years.

"The charter of the MT6021 in particular is a significant investment as we look to build up a comprehensive range of assets, which we can tailor to the specific requirements of our clients."

The two ROVs will arrive in March and June this year, with both capable of survey, construction and drill support operations.

The ROVs will most likely be used to support the company's expansion in Southeast Asia and North America.
