Spudded in early April, Duncan-3 reached total depth of 3749m at the weekend and the rig has been released.

Duncan-3 is the fifth well in the drilling program and is midway between Duncan-1 and 2.

Elsewhere at Rayburn, Strike is preparing to drill Gilbert Freeman-2 at the weekend.

Gilbert Freeman-2 is about 700m northeast of Duncan-1 and is targeting the same Middle Wilcox pay sand encountered in the other wells drilled on the Rayburn structure.

The well would take about 30 days to reach its total depth of 3719m.

In other company news, Strike said operator Comet Ridge will begin an initial two-well drilling program for its Florence Project in the Rocky Mountains, Colorado.

The drilling program is set to start in early May.

Strike has a 39% working interest in the Florence Project.
