The handset limited the short-circuit and no-load currents, meaning sparks and thermal effects capable of causing ignition could not occur in normal operation or during a malfunction.
It also featured an alarm button for enhanced personal security, Wavelink said.
“Users are able to summons assistance by simply pressing the handset’s integrated alarm button,” it said. “The alarm message generates basic location information, enabling organisations to develop alarm and positioning applications which integrate with the KIRK solution.”
