Former executive vice-president (corporate development) Bruce Vincent is now president; former senior vice-president Alton Heckman is now executive vice-president (and remains chief financial officer); while senior vice-president (energy marketing and business development) Victor Moran is now senior vice-president (compliance).
Vincent remains company secretary and president of Swift Energy International, which has New Zealand as its core overseas asset.
“Swift is very proud of our New Zealand team and our asset position in the country, which has become a core area for Swift and an integral part of our long-term international strategy,” Vincent told EnergyReview.Net from Houston today.
Although overall kiwi production was declining, gas prices continued to firm, and there were recent exciting production tests resulting from the fracture stimulation of the Kauri wells and the news of the spudding of the Tariki-D1 well, he added.
Tariki-D1 is Swift’s first major appraisal effort in its onshore Taranaki Tawn licences for several years and, if successful, may mean more uncommitted gas for the company to market.
Company CEO Terry Swift said the appointments of Vincent, Heckaman and Moran would provide “newly energised strategic leadership for our company”.
