This focus will continue into July when the Australian Venture Capital Association Ltd (AVCAL) in the Northern Territory hosts its 2nd annual conference. Dr Stephen Brand, president of ConocoPhillips, will be part of the panel discussing topics related to oil and gas and investment in the NT along with a mix of industry, business and government leaders.

Topics being presented by the speakers include; The challenges of attracting and managing investment capital in the Northern Territory, and The effect major projects such as Darwin LNG will have on enterprise and investment in the Northern Territory.

The conference is to be held on the 1st of July at the Strangers Lounge, Parliament House Darwin. The cost is $95 for members and $120 for non-members.
