Woodside finds Asian customers for Pluto LNG

Woodside said it had agreed key commercial terms for 15 year supply deals that would start from the end of 2010, with options to extend for a further five years.

Heads of agreements were due to be signed over the next few months with sales and purchase agreements to be negotiated by the end of 2006, according to Woodside.

The company was also in discussions with potential US customers for Pluto LNG.

The field, 190km northwest of Karratha, Western Australia, was discovered in permit WA-350-P in April this year. Woodside announced in August it would fast-track the multi-billion dollar LNG development.
